Year 5/6 thoroughly enjoyed working collaboratively in groups to identify the key features of an effective setting description. They also enthusiastically participated in our Monday Message and Wednesday Worship sessions.

This week in Year 5/6 has been a calm, reflective, and meaningful one as we took time to slow down and focus on our Celebration of the Word. We spent time exploring the Hail Mary prayer during 'Tuesday Choice' where the children looked closely at the words of the prayer, discussing what they mean and why Mary is such an important figure. Pupils reflected on Mary’s trust, her courage, and her willingness. Finally, we took part in our first Visio Divina, which was a new experience for many pupils. Visio Divina is a form of prayer that involves looking at an image slowly and prayerfully. Instead of rushing to describe what we see, we are encouraged to sit quietly, notice details, reflect on feelings, and think about what might be said to us through the image.
