(Autumn term 1a)
We have welcomed some new friends to our Wednesday morning group this half term. The toddlers have enjoyed building towers, throwing and catching balls, playing with the small world castles, with the dinosaurs, cars and baby dolls. The babies have been showing us their rolling and crawling skills – trying hard to keep up with the older children! We have created teddy bear collage pictures, made and decorated our own shakers, and crafted hedgehog Autumn leaf art work.
We’ll see you again after our half term break, back on Wednesday 6th November.

(Autumn term 1b)
The babies and toddlers have had a wonderful time exploring all of the different areas and activities. We started off the half term making firework chalk pictures. We participated in Nursery Rhyme week by making our own stars to sing ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ with. We have enjoyed making some Christmas crafts - colouring, gluing and sticking cards and decorations. The bubbles are always a big hit and the new tunnel has been fun to crawl through!
We’ll see you again after our Christmas break, back on Wednesday 15th January 2025.

(Spring Term 2a)
Welcome to all of the new friends who have attended Little Dragons this half term!
Everyone has loved exploring the activities in the spacious hall, from throwing and rolling balls, knocking down skittles, to building towers, playing with the small world animals and baby dolls. We have practised our walking using the trolley, emptying and filling it up too! The bubbles are always a big hit!
We have loved crafting too, making Rainbow Fish pictures, hand print fish puppets and colouring animal pictures. We celebrated Chinese/Lunar New Year by making animal stick puppets, dragons and lanterns, and St Valentine’s Day, creating ‘I love you’ cards and pictures for our families.
We can’t wait to see you again after half term, on Wednesday 5th March.
Little Dragons Baby and Toddler Group (Spring Term 2b)
This half term, Little Dragons have welcomed more new friends. We have loved throwing and catching the new balls, role playing with the animals and the play food, going shopping with the trolley. We have coloured spring pictures, made tissue paper flowers, and been very creative making Easter pictures with rabbits, chicks and eggs. We have been building up friendships, playing together and sharing the toys too. We still love to catch the bubbles, even shouting for more!
We can’t wait to see you all again when we return after the Easter break on Wednesday the 7th of May.
Little Dragons Baby and Toddler Group (Summer Term 3a)
This half term, our Little Dragons have enjoyed throwing and catching the balls, playing with the baby dolls, building and knocking down towers, and catching the bubbles.

Autumn Term b 2025
We have had another busy half term with our Little Dragons. We have made Bonfire Night sparkly pictures, Remembrance Day poppies and some Autumn leaf crafts. We participated in Nursery Rhyme week, playing with Humpty Dumpty on the wall and making character stick puppets. We have enjoyed building towers, playing with the cars and balls, and of course blowing and popping bubbles.
We were lucky enough to be joined by Ellen, Speech and Language Therapist from the Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust, who provided us with some games, activities and useful websites to explore.
We shall see you again in 2026 when we return on our new day Tuesday – 13th of January.
Little Dragons Baby and Toddler Group finished the term with a Christmas Party. We had a special guest – Santa Claus! We decorated biscuits and made some Christmas crafts. We danced to Christmas tunes, played with balloons and popped the bubbles.

Little Dragons Baby and Toddler Group (Spring Term 2a 2026)
Little Dragons have welcomed some new families to our group. We have loved playing with the bubbles shouting to “pop, pop, pop” them! We also played with balloons, patting them to each other and trying to keep them in the air, off the floor. We have enjoyed running back and forth using our gross muscles. We’ve role played going shopping and making dinner with the play food. We have rolled the large balls back and forth and played catch. We made alphabet animal pictures, finding our initial letter, and made shakers, covering bottles with stickers, putting different shapes inside and shaking them while singing a song - displaying fantastic fine motor and musical skills! We always end our sessions singing Nursery Rhymes. “Old MacDonald had a Farm” and “Wind the Bobbin Up” are definite favourites!
